Uncompromising in our approach to Safety & Security of our students, AIS has established a safe and enabling environment, which meets educational demands as well as facilitate holistic learning, life skills and values among its students. To maintain the same following Safety and Security measures are strictly adhered to in AIS Bari for the well-being of all students:
School Entry Point
- Main Gate is manned by security guards.
- No parent or visitor can enter the school without Visitor’s Card.
- Entry of parents and visitors in school premises are registered.
School Premises
- Conductors & Drivers are not allowed inside the school building premises.
- CCTV cameras are installed at Entry & Exit Gate, Parking Area, Corridors, Playground, Reception, Bus Parking Area, and Classrooms & outside all the Bathrooms.
- All CCTV systems are monitored at Principal’s Office through CCTV monitoring Screen.
- School is equipped with requisite fire fighting system as prescribed by the Fire Fighting department to get the concerned NOC.
Washrooms
- There are separate toilets for boys & girls (students).
- There are separate toilets for visitors, teachers & staff.
- Toilets for class IV employees are outside the school building premises.
- All Pre Primary sections have their own personal nannies to escort children to Washroom.
Safety Measures
- School has duly appointed designated Safety & Security Officer and Transport-in-charge for the safety of children.
- Good and Bad touch video is shown to students.
- Counselling related to other safety measures is also done by class teachers. Buddy system is implemented and strictly followed in all classes. Safe Circle Activity is also being done.
- Steps for Police verification and medical check-up of all class IV employees and teaching and non-teaching staff have been done.
- The school medical infirmary is well equipped to handle all first aid situations.
- The School Counsellor has taken a workshop on POCSO Act with all class IV employees on regular basis.
- Suggestion / Complaint boxes have been installed at reception.
- Regular fire mock drills are conducted at regular intervals to ensure preparedness, enhance emergency response skills and ensure the safety of students and staff.
Emergency Preparedness
- Teachers attended a workshop on Disaster Management & Emergency Preparedness.
- Evacuation & Mock Drills are conducted in the school regularly.
- Fire drills are conducted for teaching, non-teaching and Class IV employees on a regular basis in the presence of local police and fire authorities.
- There is a School Safety Committee (SSC) which meets regularly to review safety & security measures.
- The School strictly follows the safety & security statutory guidelines as prescribed by various authorities.
Transport Safety
- The buses are well equipped with CCTV camera and GPS system which is duly monitored by the Transport-in charge.
- Buses are installed with speed governors to avoid over-speeding and to maintain the prescribed speed limit.
- Basic First Aid Box is kept in all buses.
- The attendance of the students travelling by bus is taken twice, once in the morning when the children board the bus, second time when they board the bus in the afternoon.
- Nannies and teachers are present in all bus routes till the last stop.
- Parents can track the movement of school vehicle along with its speed via School Mobile App.
- Caretaker / Nanny on board has a list of all Emergency Contact Numbers as well points of contact of individual student.
- Students are not handed over to parents/guardians from school or bus stops without escort cards.
- Transport In charge is present at the dispersal area during arrival and dispersal of students along with the concerned teachers and nannies.
As a part of School’s overall vision, AIS has developed a zero tolerance policy not only physical aspects of safety & security of our students but also has a zero tolerance towards behavioral issues like bullying, peer group pressures, negative influence of internet, corporal punishment etc as they can cause serious repercussions on the self esteem and self confidence of children.
The whole School Building and surrounded area is under CCTV surveillance.
School Vehicles are equipped with First Aid Kit, Fire Fighting Equipment, Speed Governor GPRS and CCTV.
School is equipped with fire fighting System.
